Just letting people here know that Dune Wars, a mod for Civilization IV is released. It is has been a long time without a Dune game so hopefully this will fill some of the void. This is a work in progress, and players' feedback is continuing to shape the mod.

Very cool indeed, what are the minimum specs? I've a funny feeling that my ageing PoS wont cut it. :/ Any chance you could port it to the Civ II engine.

Minimum specs can be found here http://www.civiv.com/support_msr.htm, they're very modest by todays standards.

My own PC that I use to develop and test graphics for the mod is a 2003 vintage Pentium 4, albeit with an upgrading graphics card. Civilization IV was released in 2005 so it has been around a while.

Will it work with the demo version of the game?

It's a great load of fun, although it obviously needs improvement and corrections. Like Ix being a house and other stuff.

I've just ordered the game. I played Civ3 alot and actually made a dune mod for CivII (didn't upload it anywhere).
