I knew there was something too familier about her dress... :P
HWI WAS NOT A CRACKA

In memory of Perach, who suffered and died needlessly.

I wish I could have been with you that one last time.

Well, yea, she was kinda asiatic, can't remember whether mediterenian or more to the east.

Hwi kinda pales in my memory in comperison to the greatness of God Leto, you know.

Totally correct. I fucked up. I was going to repaint her but the paper wasn't meant for paints. You can see just looking at her face how messed up that spot was from my trying to cram detail into it that just wasn't going to go, considering the shyte paper and brushes I was using.

Its cool. You know, as long you don't have her wearing a superior off world stillsuit and get swallowed by Waterworms who get cut up by lasbeams and she's pulled out by Tleilaxu who clone her and turn her into an axlotl tank to crank out Dune Babies.

Cause that would violate the HLP's copyright.

You’re all missing the real genius here which is the falling Fish Speaker (?) to the right of Hwi's knee. Zooming in to about 300%, It's akimbotastic :)

Hey I do have to give credit where its due, its good work. It shows vision and creativity to create a visualization of this scene from Leto's Point of view.

But this is Jacurutu, so I have to bitch about the color.
Simon already proved himself 10x more Mature than KJA, he admitted the mistake and accepted critique.

Canvas is expensive. My dad used to use masonite board with a couple of coats of gesso.

Watercolour paper isn't too expensive, and it's nice for pencil work as well.

I know :(

I had a friend back in the day who had an older sister and she'd make her own canvas (frame and stretch, she bought the materials unassembled).
I wasn't really into painting back then but now I wish I'd had the forsight to learn how she did it (exactly, I have a rough idea of course). It'd be a handy skill today.

It's not hard, just takes a quick bit of practice, I think the only tool you need to buy other than a staple gun is the thing which grabs and stretches the canvas, any paint store should have them.

That's what I'm using now, :)

I also started using these cool acid resisitant inks so the ink doesn't stick to my hand and smear as I draw (it dries instantly as far as I can tell).

Did this the other day. It turned out OK. Yeah it's not Dune but I thought I'd share anyway. :)

I personally feel that this message board, Jacurutu, is full of hateful folks who don't know
how to fully interact with people.

Nice flame.

(Shouldn't his legs ghost out a wee bit more, like the gun does?)

Yeah, it was. Well, half anyway. The Punisher was done traditionally, then I went over with digital coloring. Removing imperfections from the original scan, darkening the blacks and giving the road flare some digital "omph". Not done yet though, still have to learn how to use "layers" properly in order to reinsert the criminals from the original page (which I hear makes the coloring process SO much easier/efficient!).

Nice - Love the black-and-white as always :D

Layers are brilliant for cocking about with composition - masks too. Funstuff :)
