Totally correct. I fucked up. I was going to repaint her but the paper wasn't meant for paints. You can see just looking at her face how messed up that spot was from my trying to cram detail into it that just wasn't going to go, considering the shyte paper and brushes I was using.Ampoliros wrote:good job...but isn't Hwi dark skinned?

Its cool. You know, as long you don't have her wearing a superior off world stillsuit and get swallowed by Waterworms who get cut up by lasbeams and she's pulled out by Tleilaxu who clone her and turn her into an axlotl tank to crank out Dune Babies.

You’re all missing the real genius here which is the falling Fish Speaker (?) to the right of Hwi's knee. Zooming in to about 300%, It's akimbotasticSimon wrote:You're right! Hey I do have to give credit where its due, its good work. It shows vision and creativity to create a visualization of this scene from Leto's Point of view.
But this is Jacurutu, so I have to bitch about the color.
Simon already proved himself 10x more Mature than KJA, he admitted the mistake and accepted critique.

Hurray for Simon! . Now my turn to bitch a little, Leto's arms are supposed to be encased in sand trout as well.

Paul of Dune was so bad it gave me a seizure that dislocated both of my shoulders and prolapsed my anus.

I had a friend back in the day who had an older sister and she'd make her own canvas (frame and stretch, she bought the materials unassembled).
I wasn't really into painting back then but now I wish I'd had the forsight to learn how she did it (exactly, I have a rough idea of course). It'd be a handy skill today.

It's not hard, just takes a quick bit of practice, I think the only tool you need to buy other than a staple gun is the thing which grabs and stretches the canvas, any paint store should have them.Simon wrote:I knowFreakzilla wrote:Canvas is expensive. Yeah, it was. Well, half anyway. The Punisher was done traditionally, then I went over with digital coloring. Removing imperfections from the original scan, darkening the blacks and giving the road flare some digital "omph". Not done yet though, still have to learn how to use "layers" properly in order to reinsert the criminals from the original page (which I hear makes the coloring process SO much easier/efficient!).inhuien wrote:Lovely use of colour, has it been touched up on a computer at all?
