Im with the unknown actor for Paul, as well as Chani, then surround with older known actors to build support for it in the general public.

Clive Owen is Duncan, just dont see any other doing it.

John Goodman as the Baron.

others will have to look up...
"Long Live the Fighters", "Dragon.....the other white meat."

Clive Owen?!?!?! Try Kevin Urban.

How many times do I have to say it. Ian McShane as Baron Harkonnen.

Im not even sure who Kevin Urban is? but everyone has they're own Duncan. I picked Clive Owen for Duncan because when he did the movie King Arthur he just screamed the Swordsman of Ginaz to me. Honor, Loyalty, Respect, he played in that movie so well, just sold me.

Im making no comparison of King Arthur to Duncan Idaho, just the traits of the character portrayed were how I would expect it.

Ian Mchane as baron? hmmm again everyone has they're choices:)

There's no Dukester here.

There is one in the penalty box, though ...

I'm sorry, too. 'Cause I'm confused...

Siding now with KJA and calling us "Talifans"? Really? Well, I hope that works out OK for you. :D

And, um, was that just one of those "Well screw you I'm leaving watch me leave now did you get I'm leaving?" posts?

Sorry to disappoint, but I'm not trying to get rid of you. I'm really caring less and less. Blah blah shit, kitchen floors, whatever. Politics and T&A and PILFs is so much more fascinating.

ANYWAY, if you want to discuss something REAL about the upcoming movie and casting decisions, chew on this, which they're mewing about over at DN now:

http://extratv.warnerbros.com/2009/05/c ... rkness.php
According to X17 Online, the actor [=Robert Pattison] met with director Peter Berg, who is set to direct a big screen adaptation of the sci-fi thriller "Dune," sparking rumors that R-Patz is going from bloodsucker to alien!
Peanut gallery commentary on same page:
heard of robert, never eard of Dune.
but i have a feeling that every movie robert plays in will be a huge smash
- Celine

Pattinson is my fav actor and Dune my fav book. I hope this is true.
- caz

This would thrill me to bits. I want Rob in a classy production like this. Berg did great with Hancock. The role suits him.
- Muse

If he is up for one of the lead roles then he would be playing a human (an advanced human in the distant future, but not an alien).
- SG
Well, the last at least paid some attention, but in one sense he IS an alien/extraterrestrial from our point of view. :)
