I've purposely avoided reading their bullshit rationalizations/justifications/double-speak, because the "novels" themselves made me angry enough. All so unnecessary, too.....plenty of talented sci-fi writers would have been thrilled to write new Dunes, and instead they set their sights no higher than their bank statements.
