I see that someone has registered using "KJA".

You have to wonder about the motivations of someone who would come to this specific board and deliberately choose to use the initials of someone detested by almost everyone here.

If it's a joke, fine, I look forward to some mayhem!

If it's some misguided Preeq idiot, ditto.

I'm not even bothering to entertain the most entertaining possibility...that it could actually be the hack himself: why would he join here when he has never bothered to post on Dune Novels?

(I'm not suggesting restrictions on user names or anything...yet. If it's some wingnut fanboy out to fight the good fight for his hero, though....)

Maybe he wants to read negative opinions of his books by visiting the lair of the "minority", otherwise known as the entire internet

Or perhaps he's got a public appearance coming up and wants to be "current" on the type of bad things people are saying. He'll be "up" on the current detractor lingo so he can update that bad joke he knows

But this board is open to the public, so he wouldn't have to join to do that.

Or, far more simply, it's the same guy who has the KJA screen name on your blog, Chig. Or the one named after BH, if it's not the same one(it is the same one for both, right?)

I think it would be extremely poor taste, but that would be par for the course.

(Byron doesn't have an account on Wikipedia that I know of. Not that I've ever tried to find out whether he does or not...gee, I suck as a cyberstalker, huh? Anyway, that hasn't stopped him from bitching about it in the past. Wikipedia is one place where I believe that if you're not willing to help fix the problems, then you don't have a right to bitch about them. Yeah, it's hosted on my website, so maybe it's not loading right for you. Nothing special or worth getting worked up for, but right-clicking & opening it in a new window or refreshing the page to get it into your browser's cache should clear up the problem.

EDIT: I quite often have loading issues with your hosted images - a bit of right-clicking sorts it no prob... but it is a running theme.

^^^Same here, I've assumed it was an opera issue. What browser you using?

All my images are files sitting on my server. It's easier to lob them there and hotlink than to jump through the hoops of uploading them to some hosting service like Photobucket or Flickr.
