Are they trying to hack, post spam...what? :?
As far as I can tell, just slow us up. There were tons of them making multiple page requests. No new users, and no attempts to crack.

Probably some fucking preeks or KJA fanboys. I say we sue KJA for it! :x

it was byron and KJA, trying to prevent us from discovering further holes in the shitshow they call Dune prequels
You mean Brian, right? But I blame Byron too. I blame them all!

No, Byron, not Brian.

Brian suffers from severe philosophisocal reservations about the Internets.

But I thought byron was too much of a wuss to do anything.

Clearly, all the blame is at KJA's door.

I don't understand what the difference is between the "outbox" and "sentbox" in my profile.

When you PM someone, the message is in your Outbox until the other person reads it...I think. Once they've read it...it moves to your Sentbox.

(At least that's my understanding, FWIW.)

That is exactly right. If its in your outbox, then the recipient has not read it yet. It works like an actual outbox on one's desk (anyone but me remember those?) Once teh recipient does read it, it is copied to your sent box, which is an archive of your outgoing messages.

Everything I have tried to go to on the entire net today has been a little slow for me too, but there are no problems with the our db's. I was getting a ton of Googlebot hits earlier today over at T(A)U, but they seem to have died down again. I guess everyone went back to work.

Let me know if it stays or gets worse.

Hey Omph, first started about 6 hours ago last night (here) and couldn't access both sites. When I check both sites just now they were fine but then I starting getting the db error message again on both sites for some of the threads then but cleared up after I opened a new window.

Looks like we had a bit of a hiccup there. Ragabash is bowling right now (the man does likes his bowlings), so we shall find out what went wrong later.

The server farm in Washington State lost power today, in case anyone was wondering why access was cut off this evening.

I'm stumped on that one. Though for some reason I can't get Princess Buttercup out of my mind. Am I warm?

You keep saying that, I do not think it means what you think it means...

You're smoking! It's the grandson from The Princess Bride :)

I was a little concerned actually. But all is well now.

LOL! I've no idea. It was the 80's, so perhaps Reese's Pieces? :)

I mostly geek out with film dialog, mostly
