Ignoring threads

I'd like to ask if this forum supports the option to ignore some threads or subcategories, so that they don't appear in "View new posts".

For example I am not interested in world politics and I see daily many such posts in the subforum intended for these discussions.

Please don't get me wrong. I don't intend to insult the forum topics or those who are interested in politics. It's just that not everybody shares the same interests and would require some individual convenience :D

Maybe if you were actually an active member here you'd know this has been discussed before.

So? Just means the onus is on YOU to catch up.

You could also try the bloody search function.

Either way, Dumb Novels is back up, so you can run back and preeq-wank yourself silly over there again.

I end up reading every thread regardless of whether or not the topic interests me because I'm compulsive about the orange "new post" icons.

I am too, I open them even if I don't intend to read them.

I go thorough phases. Sometimes I can't get enough of this place and read everything new. Sometimes I could care less, but I can't stop visiting so I'll look down the list of new posts and say " ah, fuck this; off to T(A)U."

I've complained about this before, but I have to read all the new posts,
because you Off-Topic ADHD motherfuckers might derail some boring
Dune Discussion with some of the good entertainment ... and also,
the cross-thread postings ...

but seriously, what precautions are we taking against the Charwood Zombie ?

Everything but "Politics" for me. I don't even look inside there any longer.

And, rarely, I'll just skip a thread that has gotten insanely boring. It really is fairly rare, though, because most of the conversation around here is pretty good.

I've started wearing garlic flowers in my hair. ;)

(I usually only look in Politics if chanilover has posted something. Because he's rude and crude and hilarious. :D )

The Return of Harwood would be glorious. As a skilled dramatist, he must know that he should return and add a few chapters to this epic tale. He can't let the story end on the cliffhanger bequeefing of the blog. We must have The Revenge of Frank Walden.

I know the first three (maybe four, by now) books, and am in the process of learning about Heretics and Chapterhouse, and I try to read everything. And you never know when an Onasander is going to pop up.

Or off. :P

I searched Twitter a bit yesterday for accounts having to do with Norman, Oklahoma. ;)

I know he's out there, somewhere.

I can feel him. :D

Huh? What are those? I'm not familiar with that concept.

I mean, I read the words and understand what they mean, but I have no personal experiential referents. Ugly ... girlfriend? Get OUT of here! :hand:

;)

I recently "friended" my most recent ex-girlfriend on FB. Amazingly she's still hot.

Nah, I don't cheat and my wife isn't jealous. She's not even in the same state.
