I actually don't like the way discussion of the new theme is being done. Most of the suggestions suck and I feel that the project is being run by committee. We need someone to make a forum skin who has a strong creative vision and who won't kowtow to the demands of the money-grubbing elite that run this over-moderated message board. Our rights are being egregiously violated in this whole affair! It's the violence inherent in the system! Help, help, I'm being repressed!

I prefer lighter colors but not opposed to moderate tones. I don't like dark boards. They are very overrated. Although a light colored Caladan theme, a desert like Arrakis theme and a dark Giedi Prime theme would be cool

I've never built a theme before, but I'd be willing to help with what I can. I have a basic understanding of Photoshop and I'd be willing to learn some new techniques if you need some help building stuff.

So, how do you build a theme for a message board? Does the software itself come with theme builder or do you have to build all the individual graphics in Photoshop and then dump them in a folder somewhere?

What I had planned to do was find a free one with a format I like, then just change colors, font and art.
