    Hello, everyone

    Postby Ghanima Atreides » 02 Oct 2008 08:20

What can I say...a long long time ago I was a fairly active member of Dreamers of Dune and some of you may remember a Ghanima from then (one of you does for sure *eyes a certain Serkanner* 8) ) and figured it was about time to join the last untainted Dune forum (untainted by the Prequels/Sequels that is).

    So, hello!

    Welcome to Jacurutu!

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "untainted." I've done my best to taint this forum with my take on the whole "Heroes of Dune" thing and even my most recent "KJA of Dune" topics. Its not for the faint of heart

    Thank you!

I've read KJA of Dune indeed, hillarious stuff

I've read some excerpts from other parodies around here as well, and ended up not being able to tell the difference between them and the real thing. Nuff said, I guess.

Freakzilla - heh, just representing my gender :P Good to know people still remember good ol DoD (pre-decline, that is)

Omphalos - I ran a Dune RP indeed, Dune Odyssey, for some 3-4 years. Sadly, despite mine and my co-owner's best efforts, it died. :(

    Thanks again for the welcome!

I could say hi and welcome here, but a whisper should do the trick as well.

Welcome, and I know what you mean by untainted :)

I myself find it refreshing to read a forum that isnt all about how great the prequals are. I am reading them now but they are no where near as good as the originals

    Howdeeeee!
I have heard of only one mistake that doesn’t have an explanation for a careful reader...with an open mind. (And, no, I’m not going to tell you what it is!) —KJA

I don't like every writer's style; for instance, I have never been able to get through Ursula LeGuin, China Mieville, or Iain Banks, all of whom are critical darlings. —KJA

I...had written a bunch of Star Wars and X-Files books...that proved not just that I'm a hack, but that I could write in somebody else's universe... —KJA

Ghanima hasn't ... which is a severe lack of education if you ask me.
