    Hello

    Postby Frybread » 16 Aug 2008 11:45

I just joined up today. I sometimes post at the Dunenovels.com forum but have been banned on occasion for criticizing BH and KJA. I am not new to Dune but I recently finished reading all of the novels. My favorite are Dune, CoD, and GEoD.

    Thanks.

All I can think of why I was banned this last time is, in response to another poster, I said I found it unbelievable that a thinking maching fleet without space-folding technology could threaten the existence of a multi-galactic human civilization with space-folding technology. I also made fun of BH and KHA's use of FTL travel in the Legends trilogy without the effects of time dilation. LOL.

I should also add that I repeatedly voiced my dislike of the Normacle, the ultimate deus ex machina. Anyway, thanks for the welcome.

Welcome to the Sietch at the End of the Duniverse! :D
I have heard of only one mistake that doesn’t have an explanation for a careful reader...with an open mind. (And, no, I’m not going to tell you what it is!) —KJA

I don't like every writer's style; for instance, I have never been able to get through Ursula LeGuin, China Mieville, or Iain Banks, all of whom are critical darlings. —KJA

I...had written a bunch of Star Wars and X-Files books...that proved not just that I'm a hack, but that I could write in somebody else's universe... —KJA

Thanks for the welcome. I hope to be able to discuss Dune without a moderator deleting my posts like Byron does at Dunenovels.
