My "name" is Eyes High. I'm a born again Christian who likes fantasy, Sci-Fiction, history, mystery, true crime stories, ....need I go on. I'm a mother of three boys and married to a sci-fi fan.

Those who are members of Worm's Sci-Fi Haven should recognize me.

My favorite authors are LaHaye, Jenkins, McCaffrey. I also like some of Koontz. Yes, I'll confess that I have not read any of the Dune series yet.

I think my husband has one of the Dune books but I'm not for sure if it's from the 'proper' series or from the other ones that I hear so many Dune fans "comment" on.

Nope. (That's only in the movie)

If you read something from the Dune series, make it Dune itself and start at the beginning (not the pre-beginning laid out by Pinky and the Brian). If you like thoughtful literature you'll probably love it.
