Quick hi...

Post by Lundse »

...seemed the polite thing to do.

My name is Kristian Lund, I live in Århus, Denmark. Dune was the first 'literature' I read and part of the reason I now study philosophy.

Anything else, don't hesitate to ask...

Great to have you! Are you the same Lundse that I seem to remember making entries in the Wikipedia Dune articles?

Freak and Thing (sounds like a horrid Carpenter-movie-remake): Yup, guilty as charged. I lurk around and spring up to do nothing much every now and again.

Right - I thought "lundse" might have meant something silly in your native language.

Turns out I am the one with the language problem...
In Danish "ha", "hæ", "ho" and "hi" are, especially when repeated, all ways to write laughing sounds (like "hehe"). I just read it as laughter at my username and wondered... :-)

Welcome Lundse.

If I remember correctly you bumped into our old friend TAZ ( the amazing zeus ) a couple of times on wikipedia.

I see, thanks for explaining that.

Oh yes, those were the times. He sockpuppeted, I whined and complained. He would ignore my arguments, I would keep clarifying them like an idiot. He repeated his statements sprinkled with abuse, I asked him to stop...

Thinking back, it a wondered we never got hitched :-)

Hello and welcome!
“But what is the good of friendship if one cannot say exactly what one means? Anybody can say charming things and try to please and to flatter, but a true friend always says unpleasant things, and does not mind giving pain. Indeed, if he is a really true friend he prefers it, for he knows that then he is doing good.” -Oscar Wilde

Lol, Lundse! OMG, that's so funny!

Yea, so what if it doesn't mean anything in my language?

Welcome. :)

Am I correct that Dune is translated as Clit in Danish, or is it some other Scandinavian language? I love Clit.
In memory of Perach, who suffered and died needlessly.

I wish I could have been with you that one last time.

Thanks man.

And you're almost right about the translation; it's "Klit" (which, incidently, is the Danish equivalent shorthand for the same female anatomy).

Oh, yes, Klit. My brain is half dead from work.

There's a site with lots of different Dune covers from around the world, that's where I saw it.

Long time no see! :D

Not quite true...since you've been active on WP again lately.

Sorry, I didn't think to leave you a message and tell you about this place. I remember that we joined the Dune Novels board at about the same time, but you flamed out in a blaze of glory in...what, just a day or two?

Welcome welcome welcome! Stay long and well here!

Thank you all :-)

I'm glad my futile scuffles with TAZ at least provided some amusement.

They did get me thrown out of the place in quite a hurry, though. Maybe I did not take his personal attacks sufficiently meekly for Byrons taste?
