I saw Freak's link to here, and violin! I am here.
I was posting as Cyborg-Michael on House Atreides, many double-moons ago. JabbaMustDie on the....official (?) site.
I first read "Dune" some twenty years ago, and to this day am always reading the Dune books.
(And for me, the no-ship has just taken off! Cat-men in the hold! Jews in Space! All aboard with The Artist Formally Known as Sheeana!)
I may have had originally a few....not-harsh words to describe the sequels, but since then I have formed new opinions. To me, they remind me of that scene in "Instinct", where the pitiful mental patient is sitting on the floor banging his head on the wall while wearing a football helmet. Reading the sequels is sort of the same thing, but without the helmet...
