Knowing what I do about how she is, I promptly slapped her a bit and told her to stow it. That got me banned from Arrakeen. Something I said on my board, got me banned over there. I've been keeping it a secret, but I think it should be brought out in the open. Mandy, I release you from your vow of silence... here at least, and at Omph's board.

OK, who else thinks the Big Guy didn't give that one proper consideration?

I put her on moderation so she couldn't comment but could still read my blog.

Then I just got tired of the thought of her doing even that and added code to bounce her to Dune Novels. That's where she really wants to be, anyway.

She eventually stopped coming by at all, so I've removed the blocks.

Speaking of your blog, I just went over to Hairy Ticks to catch up. I like your term "amphiquel", as it's reminiscent of "amphibian". A book that drags itself out of the slime ...

This is sounding like Rocky And Bullwinkle! My favorite cartoon series of all time.

"Cunt's Corner"
"Ms Know-it-all"
"Fractured Fairytales"
"Hyppo Do Right Of The Mounties"

First Episode: Hyppo goes into the "wayback machine" with Mr Peabody, when BH sold his 1st edition, FH personalized autographed Dune, for some weed in the 70's.

Mr Peabody: "Brian! Fat drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son."
Hyppo: "STFU Peabody. When the old man croaks, he'll inherit everything!"
Mr Peabody: "EVERYTHING? You don't mean.."

"Stay tuned for the next episode: 'Brian Burns-Out', or 'Frank Gets Fukkled By His Own Family'."

Oh my, Worm, what a lovely tale.

Do tell, was it before or after you edited my posts with the "Hanmya" comment just cuz lil' Ms. Rottencrouch said she got porn related results on her lame Yahoo search with it? :|

My my... never let it be said that Orald holds grudges.

You were in deliberate attack mode at the time, which I don't allow. Had the situation been reversed I would have acted similarly.

Can we just agree that she did stir up some hard feelings between members, which has impacted us on many levels and on many boards? The shock wave of which has even put you and I at odds with each other a time or two eh? Which evidently is the reason why you don't come around Haven any more.

Worm, I was just going to suggest that you and Edric add a stock summary of Orald's grievances to your signatures here so that he doesn't have to repost them (and we don't have to bother reading them) every time either one of you posts something or you come up in the conversation.

And what did he write, that we both agree she's a bag of kitty poo-poo? :P

And who, do tell, had the bright idea of giving her powers on 'Keen in the first place? And who, pray tell, had to first be removed do accomplish that?

I'm repeating these because they're correct, and yet people seem to bitch and moan about Hyp 24/7(yep, Chig, that's you) and ignore the other accomplice(s).

I'm remembering around the time when grunters came out, BH stated that he "loaned" his personalized 1st edition Dune copy to a friend, and never got it back. IIRC he was offering a reward for its return.

Still is:
In the early 1970's, during my careless youth, I loaned a first edition hardcover copy of Dune to a friend. The book was signed and personalized to me by my father, and may have included the familiar reference to me as "Number One Son." Through a series of mishaps, including a divorce that my friend went through, the book disappeared. It may have traveled with his ex-wife to Europe. I am sure that none of this was intentional on his part, but the missing book has always left an empty place in my heart, especially since my father passed away in 1986.

If anyone has seen this family memento, I would appreciate your assistance in returning it to me. If this can be accomplished, I would be forever grateful, and would thereafter bestow upon you the official title of "Number One Dune Fan," along with other honors, and perhaps even a reasonable reward.

You can write to me care of our official Dune website at dunenews@dunenovels.com

Note: "early 1970's". That means before he had read it and realized that he was one of the world's biggest Dune fans. (Remember, until daddy died, he could only be #2, since Frank considered himself "the first 'Dune fan'".)

I'm particularly fond of the fact that he isn't sure what Frank wrote in the book.

While I daily wish for unpleasant things to happen to KJA, I just can't bring myself to the same level of hatred toward Brian Herbert.

Yes, he's completely spineless for letting KJA pillage his father's legacy; I won't argue that. But Brian strikes me as a fundamentally unhappy person, which is just sort of ... sad.

I think the funniest part is that he doesn't even remember for sure how it was made out.

What an asshole. Is there anyone here who would not have committed to memory anything that FH inscribed in any book for them? Or how about that the numbnuts did not ask his dad to get him another one sometime between the "1970's" and 1986. Dick.

If I had the book, there is no fucking way in hell I would give it back to that glob of cock-schmear. He does not deserve it.

Mandy wrote:lol.. Worm, I think you should post the PMs, they were really great.

Basically, she banned Worm from Arrakeen because he told her (nicely) that he didn't think she was being entirely truthful about the whole PM thing with Sandchigger. Plus.. he may have called her bonkers, haha. Anyway, she got pissed because he called her a liar and that was the end of Worm's account at Arrakeen.

In the same PM exchange she tattled on me for being rude to her at T(A)U, she used a screen shot of the Arrakeen thread where I said something about her keeping up appearances. Then she begged Worm not to let me do anything to her account because she didn't trust me to be "objective" (that is ironic, right? lol). I'm sure this had something to do with her banning Worm as well.. she probably expected him to punish me or something.
Post those PMs!

Just when you think it has finally run its course, more examples of her insanity come out of the woodwork. She truly is, as Gameplayer put it, a source of endlessly entertaining disgust. Now Byron has her all to himself, but I already warned Byron by PM that she's a devious cow. :D

I came along well after this hypatia "era", but the bashing and stories are a chuckle, keep them coming!

As for BH's long lost tome, Im heading from Kansas city to Lawrence, KS (not far 40 miles) this morning attend a sci fi book sale sponsered by the Univerisity of Kansas Libraries, 6000 titles. Paperbacks for 1 dollar, Hard cover 3 dollars.

It would be a quantum longshot, but maybe I'll get lucky and the book will be hidden in the mix! ya I know keep dreaming,.

Anyway Im hoping to find a decent matching set of the original six in Hardcover as well as other FH works in hardcover, I have everything in Paperpack.

be well,
