    Hello All

    Postby Davaro » 13 May 2008 17:47

Hello all I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been a long time fan of all of Frank's works but especially the Dune series and most of the posts I have read on this board have helped me develop a greater understanding of his works. I hope to include my own contributions and I only hope to live up to your standards.

I have read most of BH & KA bad Fan Fiction, although I am still trying to work through Sandworms and Hunters. I have been at it for over a year but I can't seem to read more than a chapter without putting the book away in disgust. I only keep reading for those few twists that have the feeling of what Frank might have writen, whether these are from his fabled notes or just included by chance by the team of monkeys that they seem to have writing these books.

Welcome aboard! I think you'll find the vast majority here share your general views on the books, and I say "general" only because most of us wouldn't have been so polite concerning the prequels. Be that as it may, come on in and put your feet up, the party will get started soon enough. ;)

Great to have you! Please don't be afraid to chime in, all points of view are welcome. Don't worry, we'll let you know if they are wrong.

I think you're going to fit in just fine here. :D

    Welcome and welmet! :D

(I won't waffle on and on here!)
I have heard of only one mistake that doesn’t have an explanation for a careful reader...with an open mind. (And, no, I’m not going to tell you what it is!) —KJA

I don't like every writer's style; for instance, I have never been able to get through Ursula LeGuin, China Mieville, or Iain Banks, all of whom are critical darlings. —KJA

I...had written a bunch of Star Wars and X-Files books...that proved not just that I'm a hack, but that I could write in somebody else's universe... —KJA

P.S. Noticed the smiley has a capitalized first letter...could you check the smilies when next you update them and only have normal letters for them, for the benefit of those who prefer typing them out.
