A froggy in the place

Hello everybody!

I'm an early Talifan (I was a member of the first official website). I was fired out 'cause I said the Dune Encyclopedia was more Dune-friendly than the KJABH's pages.

I belong to the french fan's website deDuneARakis (http://www.rakis.coinpomme.com). If some frenche fan's here were wainting for a french website around Dune, they're welcome!

I have discovered this forum thanks to Rakis.

Obviously my water belongs to the tribe of the Orthodoxian Frank Herbert Work!

Thanks! :D

I take a look to the Rules. I think it will be easy to abide by them (I didn't see "no attack against Herbert LLC or against our work")

I believe this message board will permit criticism of anything, even Frank Herbert's work. It's all part of having a real, mature and honest message board. But if one does decide to go after the big cheese, one better have all their facts in order because we fans love Frank :)

Hi Leto, Welcome. Digging your avatar it reminds me of an old game called Runequest.

Shame on you, Mandy! Bullets are costly and lead is harmful to the environment, that's why I only strangle my little animals before I bite their heads off. :)

Nice to see you've made it here Leto ! :P

...and indeed feel free to write that the Encyclopedia is much better than the new books...

It's an obvious joke tactic- take the bad things you're supposedly doing or are said by others to be doing and exaggerate them even more, to psychotic levels.

But don't let my logical and analytical response put you off, I do in fact molest small forest animals. :)

Each frogg hide a Charming Prince 8) (thanks to Perrault or Grimm Brothers)

I usually shoot the bad guys, but they pretend to be good when they beg for mercy. Oh, I'm not refering to any historical incident whatsoever...

Gawd, it's almost a Flowers for Algernon moment.

Three cheers for the befuddled child-man?

Sorry, gramps, you'd have to explain to me what such a "moment" means, since I haven't seen that movie.

But if you didn't get it, I was refering to certain noisome beasts that love Hobbit meat and prawl the web, and pretend to be sweet inocent babies when caught in the noose.

Hehe, well there you go. Showing YOUR age. The movie is based on a novel. (Do kids still read these things?) :P
