I found this discussion forum while searching for Dune cosplay. I tried to read Dune in the early 80's when I was but a wee lad of 9 or 10 after seeing the movie. I got through the whole thing but had no idea how little I actually absorbed from the story. Recently, I decided to pick it up again, this time in audiobook format (I highly recommend the Simon Vance versions), and I was so impressed that I listened to all 6 (some of them multiple times). I haven't attempted to read any of the KJA novels since everyone says they suck (and the time would be better spent rereading the first 6). So here I am. I don't know anyone who's as into Dune as me, so I'm very happy to have found this online community.
I might do a Fremen costume some day. It will probably take months (or even years) to complete it to my standards, but I'll share pictures when it's done.

Been lurking here for some time and I really enjoy the discussions. Been a Dune fan since I first read it at 16, but I enjoy it every time I re-read it. I only just now feel ready to get past the first novel with a serious mind. Now I'm on Children of Dune.
