who me?

I've kinda taken the Dukester's "Wait & See" attitude on some of the new recruits,
unless they strike me well early on .... and so I guess I'm probably missing some over all ...

we've had quite a rash of wanderers lately, I had thought to go thru all the intro threads
and double-check, but that would take effort & concern ... so ....

That's right. I'm impressed that he actually individually replied to each welcome. I've not seen that before. Something new.

Latin politeness & courtesy, I presume. The Italians are a very courteous and polite people. This is very pleasant and also reminds me of my own Latin heritage, where courtesy, and how one treats others in public is very important.

Illustrissimo e gentilissimo signore Sudrak, Mille e mille grazie ;)

Lord Askaris, Voi mi confondete, sono solo un umile e polveroso Nomade che è sempre assetato del Melànge del Creatore...
( Lord Askaris, You confuse me, I'm just a humble and dusty Nomad who is always thirsty Melànge of the Creator... )

E poi le persone variano in tutte le nazioni, cortesi e scortesi si trovano a tutte le latitudini, ma grazie lo stesso per i tuoi più che apprezzati complimenti... ;)

( And then, people vary in all Countries, are polite and rude at all latitudes, but thanks for your compliments more than appreciated... )

I have heard of only one mistake that doesn’t have an explanation for a careful reader...with an open mind. (And, no, I’m not going to tell you what it is!) —KJA

I don't like every writer's style; for instance, I have never been able to get through Ursula LeGuin, China Mieville, or Iain Banks, all of whom are critical darlings. —KJA

I...had written a bunch of Star Wars and X-Files books...that proved not just that I'm a hack, but that I could write in somebody else's universe... —KJA
