Hello everyone,
I read Dune when I was 13 and have been hooked ever since. I have read and collected just about everything Frank has written. Dune has been a major influence in my life.
But all of those good feelings changed when KJA came to town.
I remember reading the announcements about the Dune 7 notes and outline. I was beside myself with joy. I talked several coworkers / friends into reading the Dune books. I even defended the new books up until Battle of Corrin. Once that book hit the shelves I couldn’t take it anymore.
I’m convinced that they (KJA and Brian) have never read Dune or any of Frank’s books. There is no consistency, no fidelity, and no respect to the original material. Each and every one of the new books are an abomination to the legacy of Frank Herbert.
I can’t undo what they have done. So I’m just going to talking about what I love with other like minded people. And try not to get too worked up over the alternate universe books that have been published recently.
Thanks for your time.
