Well, anyone who is really anyone doesn't. :P

(It really does shake your world view and faith in humanity to learn that people can actually read the new books and enjoy, even love, them. I guess I was living a very sheltered existence until I got involved in all this....)

As much as I would love to see a good film adaptation of Dune, I don't want anything with Kevin J. Anderson's & Brian Herbert's names on it to succeed. Even if they're going to have minimal involvement or say in how it's done.

If Peter "More Muscular Adventure" Berg is really off the project, that means all they've really got is a script.

    LOOKING GOOD!
I have heard of only one mistake that doesn’t have an explanation for a careful reader...with an open mind. (And, no, I’m not going to tell you what it is!) —KJA

I don't like every writer's style; for instance, I have never been able to get through Ursula LeGuin, China Mieville, or Iain Banks, all of whom are critical darlings. —KJA

I...had written a bunch of Star Wars and X-Files books...that proved not just that I'm a hack, but that I could write in somebody else's universe... —KJA

Even after all this time, I have to say that the "Talifan" fragrance was a stroke of genius.

I'm still very proud of The Quarry but … let's face it; in the end the real best way to sign off would have been with a great big rollicking Culture novel.
