When I told some of my senior students about how I felt recently, one of the girls asked why I don't just go ahead and shave mine. I told her that there's still enough left that it wouldn't be much of a solution, since I'd have to work harder to keep the skinhead look. Besides, I figure it would itch like crazy as it started to grow back out. (Is that true?)

I've only had to hair styles ever... skinhead or very long. Must say I never noticed an itch when it was growing in, so go for it... after all it's only hair :)

OK...I'll consider it. Once it gets a wee bit warmer. ;)

No itching for me. I shave it about once every week or two. I wouldn't wait too far into summer, or you're going to be sportin' a rather awkward tan line.

I currently have my hair, but Ive shaved it before. It grows in wierd directions, but it can be tamed. No itching though. Its just like on your face at first. Sharp and stubbly. Then it over a day or two gets long enough that it doesnt screw up your hats fabric.

I've kept my hair short since I was in the army, it doesn't itch. Rubbing the stubble is almost irresistable, though.

<~~~the fro was much more work.

I'm not saying you should shave your head, mine is starting to thin on top too. I think I noticed about a year ago. I've been letting the top get a little longer but I keep the sides and back very short. I think they call it a "fade" in da hood. They called it a "high & tight" in the army. According to regulations, you could grow it as long as you want as long as it didn't touch your eyebrows, ears or collar and wasn't "fadish". But when it's really short, you can make a bottle of shampoo last a year and you don't even have to comb it. I usually cut it all off before we went into the field for a long time.

The very two reasons I love to keep my hair short. On top of the fact that I tend to look like the lion guy from Beauty and the Beast (the one with Sarah Conners) when I let it go.

What's there to figure out? As long as she's making you miserable, she'll be happy.
