That's funny. I'll bet he never thought that anyone would actually look up a picture of his EPIC hike. There are roads in Minneapolis with Class 3 potholes that look worse than that hill. Add a storm and traffic to the mix and that's danger.

I would like to add, just this once, that there is nothing in that image for scale, so we don't really know how big the terrain is. I'm sure we all remember the thing with the Tusken Raider on Mars, only to it end up being a tiny rock formation.

Class 3 Scrambling or un-roped climbing. You must use your hands most of the time to hold the terrain or find your route. This may be caused by a combination of steepness and extreme terrain (large rocks or steep snow). Some Class 3 routes are better done with rope.

If you use your hands, how do you hold the dictahike?

The Bierstadt-Sawtooth ridge requires some Class 3 scrambling, but the ledges across the west face of The Sawtooth are much easier than they appear from the trailhead.

For clarity I should point out that I was harping on the original post. I realized I had to come back and point that out because the original poster is obviously a KJA fan...yet the insult was one with subtlety which required comprehension and thought on the part of the insulted in order to know they were being insulted. I daresay assuming that those two things would go together was a noob mistake, it won't happen again.
