Oh, please do! More gristle for the giggle mill! :D

I wonder if he ever wrote a book about his experiences as a hotel maid.

Remember, some of the promotional materials with the Hunters or Sandworms ARC said he had worked as a hotel maid. Or maybe it was room cleaner? Pillow & guest fluffer? Something in hotel house cleaning...

He's a regular jack-off of all trades.

I think it was Sandworms, and I also think it was "hotel maid."

It seemed to be an attempt to portray Bobo as just a regular ol' working guy, not too proud to put in an honest day's labor in return fo — zzzzzzzz ...

Yeah, a regular ole working guy.

Who's done fifty-eleven different jobs since becoming an adult.

Well, legally speaking, that is.

Here's something sick-making for y'all, from The Dune Saga group over on Facebook:
Aaron Is there any chance of a book/ or series of books about Crown Prince Raphael Corrino, a character that is referred to occasionally in the Dune prequel books (especially in Dune:House Corrino? Although only mentioned in references to the past, Raphael seems to be the exact opposite of Emperor Shaddam Corrino IV.

Byron From the authors: "We did find Raphael Corrino to be a fascinating historical character, and he could certainly carry an interesting book. That story is on the list of possibles, but we’ve got some other books in the works first."

Aaron That sounds good. It is a great privilege to be a Dune fan. Thank you.

Byron You're welcome. And thanks for BEING a fan.
Anyone know if Budweiser rents out the Clydesdales for public fuckings? I was just thinking that would be something nice we might all chip in together and get Byron for his next birthday.

Hmm?

Oh, yes of course, with him to be on the receiving end. Just for BEING ... whatever it is he is.

I'm not sure about what the rules are exactly concerning what the Clydesdales
can and cannot do at your event, but I do know that you have to be on their tour
route, and schedule your event around them - they've made stops at all of our
frontier forts out here, but at strange times - never in conjunction with a event ...

so, plan ahead ...

On his end ... er, I mean, from his point of view, it might be kinder to schedule it after KJA & Uncle BriBri have had him bent over for some further humiliation. Assuming they lube him up first, that is.

Not that I'm particularly of a mind to be kind, mind you.

lotek: that Allen Clarke is another great example of a perfect McDune fan.

Talking book version? WTF? Is that commonly used anywhere?

Did you see, by the way, those posts in the "Who's the Bestest KH?" thread over on Winnie Huang's Dune group?
Dana Leto II onset the golden path. gave up his own humanity FOR humanity. nuff said.

Lord they my fall alone, but humanity survive
Yesterday at 7:53am

Dana i see he KH's as pinchpoints in human history: paul was the initial KH, the original, the BG goal. the human created as a fulcrum, to only be utilized by outside forces. when he wanders into the desert, leaving his family behind, he begins the golden path. when leto II accepts the sandtrout, he knows he will make the worms precient, and stronger. not infalliably protecting spice per say, but greatly strengthening the survival rate. in the sequels, they get ultraspice- breaking the monopoly for the first time ever: which is a direct result of letos' golden path. paolo, paul, leto II, and Duncan in the sequels represent that final mad dash for a superhuman power. when erasmus merges with duncan, yes he is the "ultimate" KH but its really more of a "final" KH. i mean, he doesnt have BG "other memory," or spice influenced precience. he just literally lived a thousand lives, maybe enough to show erasmus what its like to be human.

Oh, just the whole totality of the thing. The unquestioning fanboy acceptance of the shit dished out in the books, the bad language and weird punctuation/capitalization ... it all just adds up to dipshit.

I'm beginning to think some people shouldn't be allowed to read Dune.

I'd be okay with that. I wouldn't even set the standard too high ... in fact, I'd say that an ability to think for oneself is all that would be needed.

Right there, that eliminates 90 percent of the preeks. And anything that eliminates preeks can only be a good thing.

me, too.

in fact, I've used that argument several times before,
I think on Conway, and I know on Ian Blanderson Dodge,
and somewhere else, probably Amazon; it's the end-all
argument : "I understand why you like Keith's books -
you're just too stupid to ever understand Frank ..."

kinda like my OH argument #1 - if you don't understand
immediately why Keith's book are not only inferior to
Frank's but actually an insult to Frank's fans, and Frank himself,
well, you're too stupid for me to explain it to you ....

but really, yeah, some people shouldn't be allowed to read Dune,
because 1: they won't understand it & 2: they will misrepresent;
case in point there is Merritt ....

isn't this the troll forum anyway? And I was just asking, since I was quite careful not say anything offending, so if they do give an explanation they'd have to first say why they removed it

If you recall, I was just asking wether they were going to sit on that cliffhanger for long?
I have to admit it is fun though
