Isn't a a thriller or detective story "fiction"? They're just not science fiction?

Care to disprove me by giving some example, or do you just like to generalize me again and again?
Orald, it would appear that what was intended as self-effacing irony pasted you by, I will try harder next time.

Oh P.S. I’m fairly sure there are more than 3 categories in my local reference library or should I keep that observation to myself? Do tell so I can edit as you deem appropriate.

A second post, with no reply, we make today, to catch thine eye!

We see these others sitting there, awatching this game unfold! For shame, you spectators there, why not come down and join the festival games! We shall extoll the virtues of Orald The Great, Master of Flowers, Emperor of Pansies, and Lord of Pastries!

We shall sing of his conquest of the Bakeries of the Holy City, and his Sampling of the Drinks of the Infidels! He has tasted their ambrosia, their nectar, and loves it well!

All hail the Pansy Emperor Orald, Baron of the Bakeries!

Wha?? I get the conflicting with the originals statement, but what do you mean they conflict with "Sci-Fi" in general? That makes no sense, clarify.

To say nothing of reality??
WTF does reality have to do with science "FICTION"??
This is the post that got me started and now I want to know if I answered the questions above to the satisfaction of the post's author. I have clarified and I have given my answer as to what reality has to do with Science Fiction.
I demand satisfaction.

I'm not at all trying to belittle the guy. I just feel that since I gave an honest apology for the broad generalization he called me on I deserve some kind of response to my arguements.

Either A: No I don't agree with you, here's why.
or B: Yup, you're right, that does answer my questions, but I still like the prequils anyways, I don't need the writing to be strong.

And you know what? I'm okay with either of those.

I see the love birds (Hypissia and Nardo) are reunited again...how sweet.

And as usual Byron isn't slapping down snottiness from Preeqs or Preeq-sympathizers.

(Poor Pissia...it must really be frustrating to have SO MUCH to say but not be able to say it anywhere where anyone is listening. )

Besides the ones who are also here?

Sloey is probably the most intelligent one left. :P

I visited there today for the first time in months, there seems to be one or two semi intelligent people left over there. The rest of them reminded me why I left though, and why I quit liking Arrakeen, arnoldo...
“But what is the good of friendship if one cannot say exactly what one means? Anybody can say charming things and try to please and to flatter, but a true friend always says unpleasant things, and does not mind giving pain. Indeed, if he is a really true friend he prefers it, for he knows that then he is doing good.” -Oscar Wilde

Semi intelligent...not exactly the most complimentary thing you could have written. ;)

(Pardot, they've tried to get Sloey to come over here to this "slime pit", but he won't come. He's an enigma.)

Hmm, now where did I hear someone else bitching about being banned...

Of course, you were just a lowly member of said board, and have been attacking its owners' cash-grabbing agenda, so at least it's justified from their cash-grabbing PoV. Cash-grabbing.
