Hosepipes

Post by chanilover »

Is it true that they squirt water at the sandworms in Sandworms of Dune? I wrote some fanfic once which included a scene where people squirted a sandworm with a hosepipe to try to kill it. Anderson is a thieving bastard.

How much water would it take I wonder.

A swimming pool?

All the tears we've shed recently over the loss of a certain forum?

Oh, wait, that would only be a thimbleful, huh? 8)

It is indeed true CL. The way they presented it was incredibly cheesy. I rail on it in my review of Sandworms :)

BTW, is "hosepipe" a euphamism for something else?

Yes, it's a euphemism for the sandworms themselves. *innocent smiley*

I'm just saying, you know I'm right about KJA pissing on us...here's a reminder:

I wouldn't be surprised if she found out Freak's dihidrated mummy still sucking a joint between its lips.

We should rename "Sandworms" to Hosepipes of Dune.

They put some flavoured stuff in there from what I gather, it reeks of sickeningly-sweet smoke over 50 meters away. :x

I smoked out of one of those things a lot in a tea shop in Turkey. It had teh best tasting tobacco I have ever had in it. Every once in a while a boy would pass by and put a new piece of coal on the top to keep it smoking. It was awesome. Not sickly sweet at all.

I have one a friend brought be from Saudia Arabia. Its pretty cool, and he gave me some of those charcoal disks and some cherry tobacco. this stuff is a bit sweet, but good for the special occasion.

BTW, Freak, I think its spelled "hookah"

Bah, smoking... :?

Just don't forget it IS smoking, as I've heard some don't seem to realize this is just as bad(if not worse, is there even filtering?) as ciggaretes.

I prefer rolling my own unfiltered cigarettes anyway. If you're going to die anyway... But really, I've never understood the whole, "OMG, cigarettes are sooo bad for you" schtick. No, they aren't healthy. Neither is staying out in the sun too long. Neither is that cookie. Alcoholism is much worse and more dangerous than smoking, but it's far more acceptable. People just make no sense to me.

I don't mind the smell of good tobacco but that crap that most people smoke is nasty.

I'm a pipe smoker myself. No, not a Mary Jane pipe, a tobacco pipe.. hehe.

Nothing better than trying to blow smoke rings around the room after a nice meal and a glass of cheap red wine.
