Keith's new book: Ill Wind out now!

Post by Unfront »

I just read Keith J. Anderson's blahg: He just released a new *buuk* it's an eco thriller called: Ill Wind
My oil-spill disaster ecothriller ILL WIND, with Doug Beason, now available for Kindle. http://tinyurl.com/27p4ys2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The guy is one book too late on that title.
Anything Dune not written by Frank Herbert is simply Fan Fiction.

Well, "new" in 1995, at any rate.

So, basically a More Cowbell version of Stephenson's Zodiac: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zodiac_%28novel%29?

A pretty great book, btw, about ecology and consequences, "ecoterrorism" and publicity stunts and some almost-over-the-top humor. But of course, the end of the world is far more interesting, what more people dying and bigger things blowing up...

Don't feel too bad, Unfront. KJA always posts so breathlessly about everything that sometimes it's hard to know what's new and what's just more old shtuff recycled.

I can't remember... has anyone around here read this sucker? Omph?

Here's a bit from the scenario of the alternate universe bestseller Jessica's Ill Winds...
While using her amazing Bene Gesserit witch powers to perform a liquid-less douche, Jessica inadvertently transforms some of her microbial vagina fauna into methanogens, resulting in her being afflicted for nearly a month with an unstoppable attack of cowfart queefs...

Ill Wind

I sent Anderson a copy of this review years ago. He got mad at me.

Braver than a lot of us I bet ... I'll never open a Hackerson book anymore!

That's my new tag on Amazon: "books that sap IQ points"! :P

(The IQ gets reduced to lowercase, but what the hey! :lol: )

"books by whiny authors" is another. ;)

New hardback from $6.45? When was this released?
Leto II is gone for good, except for OM. The "pearl" was just that; a miniscule portion of what Leto was, and not a compressed version of the whole. The pearl that the worms have do not make them Leto, or in any way similar to him.

Once more, with feeling...
Books with Doug Beason
Lifeline (1990)
The Trinity Paradox (1991)
Nanospace[citation needed] (1992)
Assemblers of Infinity (1993) ISBN 0-553-29921-2
Ill Wind (1995)
Virtual Destruction (1996)
Fallout (1997)
Ignition (1997)
Lethal Exposure (1998)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_J._A ... oug_Beason" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's just a reissue. He's hoping to cash in again on his old stuff, like the HLP are doing by getting FH's books reissued. ;)

Ahh. Well I'm fresh out of excuses to bitch about KJA. I'll defer to y'all on that for the time being.

Ah, but that's probably the one nice thing about KJA: He's the never-cleaned, fly-blown, roadside gas station toilet that never stops overflowing! :lol:

Did I say "nice"? :shock:
