yeah I remember that difficult day ;)
there was something about Brian (that was just not quite right)

And that video...
listen to the intro speaker:
"I have a good personal connection to the authors as well, their books served as one of my first introduction to the world of reading and to sci fi books in general"

Sweeeeet burrrnin Jayzussss!!!

01:33: he adresses the audience and the youtube viewers
"If you have any questions or answers for later on in the talk..."

What is this? Fucking Jeopardy??

one last one
02:00: the Fuzz corrects figures on one of their turds(20 million not 16) Yeah yeah yeah whatever
Keith: "Brian is my fact checker."

That explains quite a few things doesn't it?

The rest is just too annoying

Like I said, I could only do about ten miniutes. There were so many issues in that short time it threatens to overload.

The one thing sticking out most in memory is the short discussion about an arguement, ten miniutes, no seven- then Brian apologized, well you move on...watching their faces during this is just painfull.

Leto II is gone for good, except for OM. The "pearl" was just that; a miniscule portion of what Leto was, and not a compressed version of the whole. The pearl that the worms have do not make them Leto, or in any way similar to him.

Seems to me that a lot of these interviews would lend themselves well to the Mystery Science Theatre format. I'm new here but have already enjoyed imaginning pairing up different Jacurutu personalities to kibbitz interviews.

oh and about squirrelly(googled the word just to be sure I got the meaning right)
and found this, which is absolutely irrelevant to the subject at hand

Za-ZING!

re: "squirrely"

I can't prove this, but I think it's a Southern Colloquialism ... it's certainly a part of the Modern Redneck Vocabulary ....
during the Depression, the term to "squirrel away" something came into use in the South, meaning to horde up stuff
for the Hard Times, the way a squirrel does nuts for the winter .... I know this from looking for examples of that
use of the word in the 1860's period when I was writing "personal diaries" of Confederate soldiers ... for some reason,
that word didn't seem right for the context I was wanting to use it .... I was right ....

I think there was a reference to "squirrely" in the Roaring Twenties period ... I know that when I was young,
we used it to describe a situation or object that had gone wrong, as opposed to an adjective for a person,
i.e. "I went to haul up that hay, Daddy, but the damned ol' tractor went squirrely on me and I ended up in the ditch ..."

I know my boys were using the term when they were kids in relation to BMX bicycles and dirt bikes ... when the
bike "went squirrely", they usually meant the front end came loose and dumped them ... and now that I think
about it, I think I've always heard the word used in that context : something "went squirrely", so maybe that's
the Redneck Usage .... also, I've typed "squirrely" too many times, and the word looks real funny now ...

anyway:

I've definitely heard "went squirrelly," as in went haywire and broke down. I also have used it to describe a person that's behaving in an unpredictable, high-strung, awkward adolescent kind of way, which I think might be slightly wrong. Flying squirrels have bingo wings.

I first heard the word in Tulsa in the mid 90s. Unpredictable in a moral sort of way with overtones of questionable preferences...Also, the Okies of that time were unaware of white sodi, drinking instead various kinds of pop.

Colloquialism can be as much fun as it is annoying. I had a great deal of difficulty getting the spoken word to mesh with the written, being, as I was, a youth of very rural Tennessee.

"Squirrelly" as I have seen it used means real quick, nimble, jittery or unstable. A car getting squirrelly is zipping around unstable. Describing someone as squirrelly implying they are jumpy or erratic physically or in attitude. Similar when you see a squirrel flying around at blurring speed.

Stephen Court: ok more questions! i thought throne of dune was the release name for leto of dune but both books are on the website so does this mean were due another two books?

Official Dune: Yes. But, like I said below, there will be a change in the books coming out. Standby...
Again, what's the reason for the delay? Brian not laying down and taking it like a um, well, man, the way he has for the last 10 years?

I mean, after all these comments all they really need is to say WHICH "Great Stool" book is next. So get on with it already.

Following that little stroke of brilliance, I propose the following rating system for KJA's "writing":

Image

(Where 1 might be something like Hunters/Sandworms - hard to accept! 7 would be the endless, thin spew that is the interquel precious-little-happens-except-recaps-"action").

wow, is this Steve Court guy a total moron, or is it one of you fuckers in a sock ?

and is Merritt really posting on the facebook as "Official Dune" ?

and he can't pass on any information about the next book because he doesn't have any yet;
shit, Spanky won't even give him one of those reach-around twits ... if Merritt were a smarter
man, I'd say he was being cautious after blurting out the "Jessica to the Throne of Dune" thing;
but he didn't even catch his own mistake for like, what ? a half a year ... nah, if Spanky or The
Lawyers had so much as spit some general info in his direction, he'd've posted it ... he gets his
Dune news like the rest of us - from Spanky's Twits and those assholes on the Jacurutu Forum ...

I don't know, maybe I'm just a hater, but anymore, I see someone asking EAGERLY about the next McDune book and I just mentally write them off as a complete and total moron.

It just saves you a lot of time and effort. And you're only wrong a very small percentage of the time. ;)

I mean, take this loser from The Dune Saga group on Facebook:
Jon Foster: I love the Dune books as does my wife (can't beat that) currently reading the Winds of Dune. I know that there have been lots of critics against the newer novels being writing since Frank Herbert wasn't the one writing them But I absolutely love the new ones as much as the old ones. They fit easily together and I thank both Brian and Kevin for having the courage to write them
Yesterday at 11:03am

Byron Merritt: Glad you're enjoying them!
Comments? OK...

Jon Foster: I eschew punctuation like periods because I can't stand to have anything end and because my wife is having hers right as we speek I also writing stupid fucking shit like "the newer novels being writing" And my god aren't they brave for having the couraged to been written them books! (I do like exclamation pointeds!)

What I really fucking want to know is: HOW DO THESE PEOPLE REMEMBER TO BREATHE?

And of course The Burger Queef of Dune ("Pussy 'B' Him") is GLAD THEY'RE ENJOYING THEM! Just look deep into his shit brown eyes for the $$$ and listen for that rea$$uring KA-CHING! Another sucker served!

I really wonder how many comments of praise for the books are actual people and not a benign troll of HLP's. It's so blind and retarded there has to be a lot of trolls out there.
